Because in someone without a suppressed HPTA (normal, functioning testicles) the testicles will continue to produce estrogen from intratesticular testosterone. This can NOT be stopped by aromatase inhibitors because aromatase is expressed in the leydig cells where testosterone is produced, so even if the AI crosses the blood-testis barrier it won't do much since the enzyme is converting testosterone to estrogen locally in the same cell (paracrine effect). The ONLY time you have to worry about severely crashed estrogen levels to the point where it would be a problem is when you have a shutdown HPTA, usually from taking exogenous sex steroids (less likely: long-term opiate abuse, etc). Then the testicles are not producing adequate testosterone, and hence estrogen.
All this theoryceling about low estrogen, brain damage, being unable to get an erection, etc from aromatase inhibitors is fucking retarded and based on theories and anecdotes from roid forums full of idiots that refuse to use hCG to preserve the function of their testicles. So to the heightmaxxers, no, you are not going to die from taking 0.5mg of arimidex/12.5mg of aromasin a day.
