you dont get it, nothing looks ugly because it looks ugly, its about us perciveing it ugly, for example: clear skin is good looking because its health indicator and our brain knows it, if there is parralel universe where acne is health indicator, acne would be attractive. hope you get the point. given the context hawk nose should also be attractive but am clearly missing smth

It's one of those things that need to be unnoticeable on the face, Nose after all is in the middle of the face and it will look bad if it takes up lot more space.
just like noticeably big forehead isnt ideal. big/wide noses usually mess with other important ratios like mouth to nose that signal health.

i mean most of the time isn't a big nose not an issue, but the jaw? Like usually jaw recessed (or maxilla recession) is the primary cause to which the nose is seeming "big" or "out of place"

it's only an issue if it's large relative to your other features not if it's big in measurements.
