Why is everyone scared of applying topical minox to eyelashes?

My objection to it would be it is very hard to get it down to actual eyelash follicles plus absorption would still be LOW, also part of topical minoxidil working on the scalp is probably still via the systemic absorption of the drug from the sheer amount applied in total mgs to a large area of skin, some going to liver and made into minoxidil sulfate and then back, quite possibly. The amount of drug you would absorb from topical minoxidil on eyelash area only would be absolutely miniscule. That said if it works for you then that is very cool also. Personally I use sublingual/oral minoxidil and that has given me comically long eyelashes that mog close to 100% of women even with cope mascaras, but I am a hyper-responder to minoxidil, even topical minoxidil on the front of my scalp gave me systemic + eyelash hair growth from the systemic absorption.


Edit: And getting it into your eyes does suck. The alcohol stings and propylene glycol is pretty oily/greasy so would be annoying to wash out. At the same time topical minoxidil ending up in your eyes will give better systemic absorption via the mucus membranes in your eyes.
