Why is long midface considered such a brutal falio on org?

A midface on the longer end is not inheritly bad. But it often comes along paired with other features that are major failos like an narrow skull, to long skull. narrow jaw, narrow chin, down ward growth, narrow midface and narrow zygos. Which is due to an longer midface is typically accompanied vertical growth/CW (face grows downward), weak tranverse growth (face doesn't grow wide) and an narrow maxilla (upper jaw does not expan sideways) all of these typically does cause the flaws i mentioned over. And many of them are typically considerd major failos to have.

strong orbital area
good eye spacing
high cheekbone support
strong jaw/chin
good harmony
facial width
compact lower third
good forward growth

Also, Nordic and Anglo phenotypes often naturally have longer vertical facial proportions, narrower faces, longer nose. lower facial compactness in general.. Yet many of them can still be considered attracted, this is because harmony matters more than isolated ratios, overall structure compensates for convexities, facial dimorphism matters and of course presence/frame matters

Shorter midfaces are often aesthetically advantageous. Look at David beckham for an example.

A long nose looks elegant, particularly when the maxilla has some forward growth
Slightly close set eyes is also a masculine predator trait
So if you have these things then a longer midface can be fine

But an overly long midface that stands out as a long face / horse face at first glance is a failo

I have a tall face but a 1:1 midface ratio
Long distance from bottom of nose to bottom of chin and fairly tall forehead is what causes this and is the template for tall skull mogger with good ratios

My ratios would still look fine if my nose was slightly longer though and created a longer midface

If it's too long, very often, depending on genetics, the nose has a high chance of being too short, so the philtrum will be huge and look like shit

Also, if it is long, it will have to be compensated by the lower 3rd / chin, which also needs to be long, and if it is too long, again it can look unaesthetic / uncanny

At the end of the day, these two below are ideal, so yeah..
