There have been plenty of psychopathic killers and murderers who've frequented forums and committed heinous acts after using platforms as a journal or diary to spill their thoughts out that they've never been able to share with others in their real life. Whether due to loneliness or a lack of place and time, it has happened and will continue to happen.
