If you think about it, human beings evolved as hunting primates. We survived the ice age by hunting ruminants and fishing.
People who thrived on vegetables would have died during droughts or long winters.
People are allergic to vegetables, but not steak.
Kids find vegetables bitter but meat delicious.
Vegans find ways to make vegetables taste like meat, but carnivores rarely try to make meat taste like vegetables .
Steak is a one ingredient, under processed food that has essential amino acids, essential fatty acids, vitamins and minerals in its dark luscious flesh.
Vegetables have to be fermented in the gut causing gastro intestinal issues, farting, bloating, etc. Foods derived from plants cause illness and weakness.
Bone density and lean contractile tissue correlate with longevity.
Environment:
Factory farming uproots entire ecosystems, kills billions of animals in tractors, poisons rodents, demolishes soil fertility.
A cow has four small hooves that are gentle on soil. Manure nourishes soil. Cows eat grass and coexist with other animals before being led to slaughter.
Yes one sentient life ( a cow) when killed consciously can feed a family for months and months, while through mass agriculture billions of animals are killed unconsciously (foxes, rodents, raccoons, insects, coyotes, etc).
Each of the 13 ingredients in a fake meat patty come from separate fields, have separate trucks that burn fuel, and have separate processing plants, with individual environmental footprints.
