Why was everything so better in the past?

When I look back at the last 4 or 5 years, everything is so fucking bland, tasteless and boring.

But the memories that I made when I was a child or a teen feel special, its like they are all on a different level, or from a different person, its like emotions are actually are embedded in them.

If I listen to a nostalgic song, it feels so special, I swear nostalgia is one of the few emotions I feel nowdays.

I feel like all the good days are already behnind me, and all that awaits is X years of pointless wageslaving and coping with games and other stupid shit. No relatiosnhips, no meaningful memories to be made, no exciting thing is out there for me
