Just look at how the removal of bone makes the skin sag even more because it has less bone to drape around. Absolutely horrific result.

Added to the fact that the patient now has a hypodivergent short face with an awful mentolabial fold due to the over rotation and shortening of the chin.

Also note the chimpification of the upper lip/philtrum, due to large movements on the maxilla. As well as the piggification of the nose.

In total the face was shortened by 20mm and impacted 11.5mm. Butchery.

well small impaction with a decent amount of advancement is fine but everything above 5-6mm impaction can be very bad functional and aesthetic wise

Lol, some people have no choice but to get impaction. It all depends from person to person. I have no choice because of naturally long face + gummy smile.
Most people do not need it tho

Apparently even with software it's difficult to get accurate soft tissue movements. On a JawHacks podcast with Kevin Coppelson, Coppelson said it takes 24 hours on a computer rendering to generate an accurate model of the face with soft tissue. He said his office used the publicly available software and paid ones and ditched them.
