Wide maxilla yet recessed mandible and no forward growth

Throughout my whole life I have always been a mouthbreather, with poor facial development. As a result, my mandible is very recessed, and I lack forward growth. But I always had perfectly straight teeth, both lower and bottom, and my smile is very wide and by other people is considered attractive. Are such cases rare? i didn't have any palate expanders and etc., maxilla is just wide naturally.

It's uncommon but not rare. You can have a recessed maxilla but decent lateral growth.

i have a similar case. my maxilla is wide. I'm pretty sure i have bimaxillary pertursion of the maxilla. my mandible is recessed. this is from genetics. no diet or habits should do this. ill probably get chin wing osteotomy and genioplasty
