Will braces change facestructure as an adult?

What if you got braces at 18? My growth plates are all open and I look quite young for my age so overall my body is more akin to that of a 16 year old.

Got braces and palate expander right before I turned 18. Face got a bit wider perhaps but palate is still narrow.
