Will Fixing My Teeth Improve My Recessed Chin

I am debating whether or not to get braces now due to my crooked teeth. I also have a narrow palate which I think contributes to my recession. I'm probably going to get a palate expander before.

braces can actually harm your bone development.

Don't quote me on that though I would do more research into it.
