When i was a kid i had beautiful eyes, no recession. Now sadly, with improper development my infras are recessed, and maxilla.

I have done abit of researching and have seen people talking about FME/Marpe to fix recession. I’ve also seen people talking about doing it while also having headgear and i’m curious of this would benefit me.

I’ve also noticed that some people have gotten recessed from doing headgear, which is why people mix it with herbst appliance. I’m curious though.

I’m just turned 14 and would like to get my recession fixed without having to wait for a bimax in the future

marpe expands you laterally not forwards bru.

i guess it might make more space for your tongue to rest properly on your palette and the pushing could maybe cause forward growth?

i don’t know. marpe ascends only very few people and makes most look worse from what i’ve seen

u could still grow pretty significantly at 14 though… it could possibly be a good move

Off topic but mirin the lashes dye your eyebrows black bruh or just 1 shade darker than their current colour contrast is key

agreed with lateral growth and not forward, if you want forward you'll need the headgear, also where did you see that it (headgear) recesses some people? That's the opposite effect of what it's meant to do.

i’ve seen this asian guy on tiktok, maybe 3 months apart of his marpe and facemask transformation, and his chin appears to look more recessed. and thanks for the advice

Learn how to shape them and then regularly pluck them and keep the shape that you like and maybe derma stamp + topical minoxidil if you want and you’ll slay

Great reply, thanks. Also I have seen posts that mixing marpe and headgear can develop forward growth

Marpe makes most people look uncanny afterwards, usually due to overexpansion

would pairing it with headgear fix it? also i’ve seen people use herbst appliance after, because there jaw looks recessed from the maxilla pushing

If the lower jaw is set back after using marpe, then thats when its right to use herbst appliance
