i literally got sick in my stomach while reading all the posts about how bad loosing teeth is for facial aesthetics
Yeah, teeth extraction will cause aleovar bone resporption and will change some soft tissue positioning due to buccinator muscle which is in between the teeth and buccal fat pad, it rests on the back teeth and will reposition. since the attachment sites of the bone (the aleovar bone) has been reabsorped which could compromise the buccinator muscles and also because removing the teeth would cause slight sinking of the soft tissue to were the tooth was.

people with third molar agenesis usually have smaller cranofacial configurations

which may have some correlation with teeth extractions...

well i dont have a problem with my palate its just that the roots of the tooth are fucked and i need to take it out, will an implant be enough to not be that fucked

don't, it's not over yet young one. As long as you do something about it in the future you can try to make this negligible

3 month is a lot but it wont do a lot of damage, keeping an empty space between your teeth will make your other teeth move into it and your teeth on the upped jaw will start going down to fill the space in the lower jaw so filling it as soon as possible is the best thing to do

this will be you if you extract all teeth

this is the first molar i counted wrong, i ask the same question to u, do u think 3 months will be enough to get fucked until i get my implant, and is there any difference in bone loss when it comes to first molar vs second vs third

A bone graft doesn’t replace an implant, it helps stop jaw resorption and keep the bone same density.

3 months isn’t that bad, but still I’d say get a bone graft. I have no idea how the different molars impact bone loss, but I’d imagine that the first or second are probably better since they have teeth around them to sort of help, but it probably doesn’t work like that.

around 3 months is when significant resorption will start according to some studies. Between 3-6 months the resorption will peak, so 3 months should be the maximum wait time to avoid this

this is my first time hearing about a bone graft for teeth but i will look into it, my jew dentist told me he can maybe fix the root, i will go with that even if its the painful way, if the problem reappears i will get it out and get bone graft/implant

this is scary and u guys made me sick to my stomach but thank you a lot for real, i was just going to take it out and not give a fuck about it but i will keep it at all costs and surely get an implant/bone graft if needed, my sister got her molar tooth removed and now i see that u could probably notice a bit of a bone loss.

look at the teeth thats above/under the gap that she has and see if her teeth is moving to the area with the gap but this depends on how long she had the gap for though

I was supposed to get some of my wisdom teeth extracted because they were a little impacted and it would be an expensive procedure, orthos still have monetary incentive dont forget that, but it was not necessary it just hurt for some time. Good luck!

Many people also ignore the soft/hard tissue effects which can be quite signifcant
. Horizontal dimensional changes of hard and soft tissue (loss of 0.1-6.1 mm) was more substantial than vertical change (loss 0.9 mm to gain 0.4 mm) during observation periods of up to 12 months, when study casts were utilized as a means of documenting the changes.
Bone graft/implant should negate this and first molars should also not have such effect compared to second and third molars

Go through with the pain! jfl orthos can be kinda nastry ngl, dont let the jewish orthos take your valuable stem cell (DPSCs) producing teeth, perserve your youth and looksmaxxer courage!

Wisdom teeth are useless you autist

I was of the same opinion as you until giant showed me the figures
