Current malocclusions are class 2 malocclusion as well as a deep bite of around 100%, leading to somewhat short chin
Light crowding of teeth [class 1 malocclusion]

palate: 50mm [possibly relevant]
I dont have access to the scan of my teeth yet, but i will update post op

All 4 wisdom teeth are removed by my oral surgeon as instructed by my orthodontist, everything in a local clinic

After operation, i will be getting self ligating braces, as well as a herbst appliance after recovery, still discussing when exactly


Due to me still developing it is probably the best method to take right now, about 3-4 tanner stage [14.4 years old], meaning this should work to fix both my overjet and deep bite and guide my mandible forward
I wasnt bothered to get class 2 elastics, its not like i was going to consistently wear them in and out with attention issues

well I guess this is the best option to fix your chin because you ll still grow and promote more craniofacial growth like until 16-17 so there’s still time . You might also have short face syndrome

Technically my mandible should grow further, but the mandibular suture fuses at age 1, so no more mandibular outward growth. Atleast i have flared gonion/mandible

This fuses at around 6 months to 1 year of the child being born and then the mandible becomes one single bone . Your mandible can still grow after 1 year old and at your age if your under like 16 very much potential to grow and elongate more . The maxilla grows first then the mandible . Since you have a deep bite ask them for herbst apliance not elastics , elastics only make the illusion they bring your front teeth back and your lower teeth a forward therefore creating a good bite but you’ll destroy your maxila’s forward growth by flattening it . Yes this makes sense as your mandible can grow, but it cant "widen". It cant become wider, hence how i needed to mention the flared mandible

This makes sense but i want this overjet problem gone now. My chin recession is not looking good, i dont want to "just wait", i dont want to potentially waste money on a Bsso when i can just use orthodontics which are covered by the "devs"

I already have really good forward growth, i wouldnt think that it can be flattened with elastics, maximum it would only recess the teeth and not the bone itself.

Ahahah thanks i feel as if it is not that rare. Flaring of the mandible would simply be that the mandible, instead of being straight down, would be more diagonal down. Your mandible width is mostly the same, and my bigonial is bigger than my bizygo so i dont know how to feel

Generally its a pretty good looksmaxxing method in this forum, one of the primary hardmaxxes. They do hurt and they can potentially cause bone resorption, and it was recommendedto me by ortho anyway.

Money come and go , good thing you got into ortho at this age , this is also the recommended age , the reason they took the wisdom teeth out is to create more space , I didn’t study this subject so I can’t talk about wisdom teeth removal .
you re 14 you still got time , mandible stops growing at 19 , getting braces by a good orthodontist means ascension , because if they’re good they know how to still promote forward growth , and they can fix your deep bite really easily in about 2-3 years depending on how severe your case is . And herbs appliance is the best thing you can get while still growing bcs it doesn’t recess you , it promotes equal and healthy growth , it can work faster than elastics , and herbst is way better because as I said it’s not a illusion herbst actually promotes growth because
Herbst is CCW rotation moving the mandible forward and opens the bite , promotes the making of skeletal changes so new bone overtime of course
Elastics are CW so backward and downward , little to no skeletal change so not a bone change , pulls the upper teeth backward and the upper teeth in front therefore creating more an illusion .
I will always preffer herbst and recommend herbst even though it’s much cost effective but not by that much . There’s a large difference between a forward grown face both from front and side compared to an average low projected face . What type of braces are you getting
