DO I REMOVE MY WISDOM TEETH? alright so basically my ortho said i gotta remove my upper wisdom teeth as i'm doing marpe to create space to decompensate and upright my hella flared incisors (upper front teeth). i've already removed my bottom wisdom teeth, i had to as one of them were growing in sideways. and i'm also doing a beneslider with the marpe for distillation to pull my upper molars backwards to allow for decompensation of my flared incisors. is there any way to keep my upper teeth and should i remove them as my ortho said without removing them ill limit how far the molars can be pulled back with the beneslider as the wisdom teeth are in the way, as well as when they grow in they'll be biting on my gums just causing a bunch of issues down the line. i've attached an xray of my teeth but my upper wisdoms are impacted. what should i do?

wait ur wisdom teeth are on top not the bottom set?

yeah i've already removed my bottom set and now my ortho wants me to remove my top set
ah, but did they cause you issues or did he just yank them out just for the sake of getting rid of them

they weren't actively causing me issues they hadn't even erupted yet but they were impacted and one of them was growing in sideways like completely sideways and was gonna push on my molar so got rid of them, but idk if i should get rid of the top one but it is kinda very necessary for my case

well the top ones would technically be useless considering they dont have bottom molars to close-in parallel with, so just follow your dentist ig

would u remove them if it were your face? my ortho said i didn't have to remove them and that it was ultimately my choice but in order for my orthodontic planning and treatment to be fully achieved i would have to remove them otherwise it would be in the way for distillation of my upper molars and not allow for full decomp of my flafed incisors

only pussies get them removed, I push through the pain everyday, they grind against my gums, blood gushes every time I brush my teeth. it's worth it for the 1mm on my pallet.

wdym grind against your gums did they erupt properly and not pushing against other teeth. nah but for my orthodontic treatment it is kinda necessary to get them removed otherwise i won't be able to achieve the decomp of my flared incisors and for the 1mm on the pallet i'm getting marpe and doing 8mm expansion so i think the 8mm would make up for the 1mm reduction from wisdom removal

Either Get them removed or wear an expander as they will cause pain, one of my upper wisdom tooth is only half out due to less space its causing pain for months
