I will take the UK to prove my point:
Average UK wages for 18-25 year olds after tax: £20,796 or £1733 monthly.
£975 a/mth rent
£225 a/mth food
£245 a/mth utilites
£12.50/mth mobile plan
£70 a/mth bus pass
£15.99 a/mth gym
=£1543.49 a month

£1733-£1543.49 = £189.51 month left over. A woman will spend this £189.51 a month in no time because my calculation assumes perfect budget keeping: so there is no buying new clothes, no partying, no holidays, no buying tiktok shop shit, no buying fast food, no hobbies, no ubers, no car use, and no children, no student loan, other factors.
Is it really worth living in genteel poverty as a single woman or does it not make sense to find a partner to decrease the cost of living?
You cannot build savings or wealth if you are only earning £189 a month. If you have a student loan you're getting absolutely bumfucked. Only women who can fall back on daddy's money can afford to live without a man.
The rational choice is to find a partner to decrease living costs. If my calculations are correct but women are avoiding finding a partner some other (irrational) force is at play.
