If women deem you unattractive or not masculine enough aKa not suitable for sex they basically require you to openly look or act gay as some sort of implicit agreement dictating the following conditions:
A. You are not going to attempt any form of flirtation or sexual advance on them
B. Outsiders don't mistakenly think you are in relationship hence why they need you to look as gay as possible
This is how the "gay friend" phenomena was born:
Men who befriend women are not necessarily gay BUT,
They are required to play the part at all times in order for the "friendship" to exist in the first place
