I've always dated co-workers. Work is really the only place that I get any social interaction. But it's never someone that I work closely with. I made that mistake once and it just made everything awkward for a while. It's someone that I can avoid if it doesn't work out. And I never disclose shit to HR. I'd only involve HR if there was a power dynamic. Really no one cares.

they rule the HR farms that will terminate you for it, but they also want to date that hot rich coworker or their boss, just like in the olden days. So now that they got what they asked for, they're mad about the consequences, and it's men's fault.

This is really fucking baffling. Women have made even thinking about dating at work such an extreme risk anyone reasonable is not even touching it. This just seems to be more of the weird "If we browbeat men more we don't have to address the root causes of their nonparticipation."
