Wondering which braces I should get?

So there are 2 options for my braces,

1 is less expensive and takes longer, the other is more expensive and takes a shorter amount of time.

1st gen braces = 20 months
2nd gen braces = 15 months

I've saw that braces have the potential to 'receed' you, the braces I am getting have no elastics, and I won't get any extractions. So I was wondering if taking the 2nd gen braces which take shorter may receed you MORE because it is putting more pressure on your teeth than the first gen, I have no idea if that is right though.

which ever u choose, do an experiment with palate expander, use it with the braces
