Jfl at thinking anybody works their way up a big corporation or political organization, or anything, really. It's all corrupt and nepotistic bullshit where connections > Everything else. Even looks won't help if you don't have the right friends.

Persuasion, skills and connections are very important

But are they, though? Why are there so many instances of some ugly dumb shits taking over the reins of wealthy families and/or corporations? Does Mark zuckershit have charisma? Dude didn't even really invent facebook. Musk isn't very savvy either.

People are massively bluepilled about how wealth concentrates over time. The economy is basically a lottery and connections + luck are EVERYTHING. Meritocracy is mostly a myth. Even Chad gets fucked by this process.

Facts, the GED->degree->slave 9-5 will never get a powerful position, anything is a gamble in U.S economics but you’re setting yourself up for failure if you think it’s possible to go from nothing to something

Not really, this is a cop out excuse almost every redditard uses to justify not working.

It’s a matter of being able to think outside of the box instead of being an order taker. If you’re not innovative and just an order taker, you have no reason to climb anywhere. Why would you lol? Imagine you run a business, who are you going to promote closer to you and why? Why would you promote a “hard worker” who’s been doing the same task for years and hasn’t added any revenue or ideas for your company over someone who’s brought in clients and made impactful changes to your business model on their own?

Most people will never understand this concept and why it’s impactful, well, because they’re naturally order takers. You also need a unique combination of personality traits to succeed in the corporate world

If anything being well connected is a sign of high extroversion, charm/NTness, again, something a lot of people don’t have.

i will just rot in my mothers apartment until everything fades away

Normies, especially from the Boomer generation, love to brag about hard work, merit and such, while themselves never acumulated enough capital to never need to worry about money.

Hard work = coping.

Success = born in the right (rich) family and having conections.

There are some exception, of course, but exceptions don't disprove the rule, they prove them.

Either way 9-5 is an ideal lifestyle. Everyone realized after COVID that trying to climb an organization is a meme. Work to live not live to work.

Shrewdness matters tho. Zuckerberg was shrewd and stole facebook idea

Not really. You get paid lot more on having merit vs no merit

your well-connected means nothing if it is just non-consequential people.

You’d be suprised how many people in your social circle (assuming young, NT, not weirdos) will become very successful down the line.

If you are in your early-mid 20s just starting out in a place like NYC/SF, the people you’re partying and sinking beers down with on the weekends after work may very well be people you’re pitching to in 15 years.

There is absolute zero downside and unlimited upside to expanding your network as far as possible in your young working years.

Not really my case.

Yes, if things play out well and they get in position of power. Which obv is limited since too many contenders and far too few spots.
Most of time you get out of touch too unless you put in effort to maintain. Ppl get busy with their life.

Just "expanding" and knowing people don't mean much. It has to be someone who becomes somewhat important in something useful and you being able to get them to take actions. Many friendships which are just companionship but when asked to do something, all u get is refusal.(Jestermaxxing)

I will work my way up in this company

i mean the ceos of microsoft and google unironically climbed the ladder, everything required connections but you can make them from nothing

Jfl you are literally the text book example of a bluepiller retard who doesn't fucking understand how the real world works.

"Muh hard work and innovative out of the box thinking hurr dur :feelsuhh:"

Meanwhile in the real world, the biggest moneymakers are derivative superhero movies, bullshit like Pokemon which has remained stagnant for decades, and hilariously, even the biggest indie success recently (Palworld) is literally just ripping off all the most successful major such as Fortnite, Pokemon, Zelda, etc.

But sure, being 'innovative' will get you to the top.
