I went to a doctor because I suspected having delayed skeletal growth because I was always short and made fun of for it from the second I was put in school, as well as being 5'7 at 16 where majority of my male relatives are above 6' tall so it felt that something was off. I went to a doctor and am yet awaiting to get blood tests done however I already got the x rays and I'm at a total loss of words. My chronological age is 16 years and 1 month, my bone age is 17 years and 9 months meaning I'm near final adult height. Nothing could've prepared me for this especially with everything people have said to me, my mom always saying "look at this cousin and that cousin, you'll grow to be their height" or my doctor and dad repeating "boys grow until 21, you're only 16" and online people saying "I was also that height at 16 and now I'm 20 and +6'." Tbh I'm still in denial of the whole situation with everything people have been telling me for years now, I can't imagine the rest of my life being spent at 5'7 especially when where I'm from the average height is 5'11.6 :feelswhy:. Another thing being the fact that I genuinely have ZERO symptoms of growth being finished or anything, I have a big appetite still, I still look like I have a child like body not fully developed, I sleep alot, I've grown 3 inches within the last 9 months, and the list goes on. Nothing adds up, I've also had good habits my whole life, most importantly I never neglected my sleep, and I don't drink nor smoke. This all looks like a fever dream, genuinely every single aspect from my genetics, my habits, my growth rate, I would've at least expected 5'10 which I would be the happiest person on Earth if I was. I guess I was a genetic mishap this whole time, maybe in another life.

very sad honestly, I feel for you

but it is not over.

bone age does not, by any means, prove that you are done growing.

it is nuanced and you could 100% still be growing

there is still hope bhai

This is why I laugh at the diet/good nutrition copers. You can have the best nutrition in the world, if you have subhuman genetics, you will still grow up to short.

Regardless, you only have yourself to blame. You now understand why you should be careful who you take advice from. You listened to your bluepilled family members when you should've been taking the advice of blackpilled/realists. If you did, we would convinced you to get on HGH at 13

nah u wouldn't be, u would be wishing u were 6'5

be completely fucking honest with me, I don't have time with people on giving copes to just keep the rope away. I want the brutal truth.

Brutal. LL and shoelifts bro.

But idk ur other stats. If u have a good face + frame, just shoelifts will do

what did your xray say are your plates closing?

There isnt a strong correlation between bone age and being done growing. bone age is just a measure of how developed and dense your bones are, just because you have denser bones, and the "bone age" tests show up with a age that is close to the age at which plates close, does not mean your done growing.

thats the truth.
my dad had the same problem
hes now 6,1

yeah sorry i forgot but are your plates closing you didnt mention that?
they're not fully closed but nearly. but also at the same time alot of people are saying bone age x rays of your wrist have little corelation with final adult idk who to believe anymore.

Real tough shit I’d probably kill my parents if that happened to me

Everyone has a genetic limit encoded into their genes, but there's so way of knowing 100% what that limit is. As your parents are pretty tall theres still a slight chance you just havent reached your genetic potential. You can always take hgh + aromatase inhibitors to keep plates open and keep growing as long as possible and see what happens. But do your own research on the risks beforehand

Same, I'm 6'3 and always wanted to be 6'4. Fuck...

That's unfortunate man i would recommend you to research HGH and try to use an AI to extend the window of your growth its worth a shot
