Or is it a pretty low botch rate procedure? Worth it for additional $3k on top of rhinoplasty (different surgeon than rhinoplasty surgeon, if you're thinking about making some remark about "why would you let surgeon do rhinoplasty but not otoplasty?")?

My ears:

Pretty huge. I have long curly hair and I feel like they're still pretty visible, and I look way better with heaphones on. I assume that's because they hide my ears.

If a surgeon succeeds to fuck you up on a otoplasty procedure they should get suspended.
As long as they are fairly reputable it shouldn't be a problem, you don't need the most superlative.

90% of otohoplasty surgeons are botchers, don’t ever dare unless you really can’t keep your hair medium length

The surgery itself is pretty outdated as it involves a permanent internal suture that could snap anytime requiring a revision.

I can but I feel the brain/eye still takes what little it can see of the eye in consideration in interpreting the whole face, even when the ears are partially hidden. Because when I wear a hat or earphones or just cover them with my hand, all of a sudden my bone structure "pops" more and I don't look nearly as StBlackOps, as someone else so kindly pointed out.
