Would an herbst appliance improve my jaw and overbite

I have a pretty bad overbite that has caused recession of my mandible and idk if it hurt my maxilla too, I was just wondering if it would work or if it's cope for my 16th birthday

They are but my parents are stubborn and will only take me anywhere if it's life threatening, that's why im thinking of asking for it on my birthday

If your going to the ortho anyways for the device, just ask them there if thats the best treatment. They might use a different, maybe less aggressive method.

I mean, the orthodontist might not want to give you that device because he thinks your case isnt that serious, which it isnt. They might just do rubber bands or something. It isnt a bad thing. No need to do your orthodontists job for them.

Just wait till you see my overbite JFL, my upper teeth stick out even when my mouth is closed, thankfully I have surgery planned after my braces come off, also rep me.

Nobody has ever even seen me not frauded. Somehow, I dont have TMJ.
