Would balding be cured if we can slow the hair growth cycle?

If we can somehow manage to slow hair regrowth cycle can balding be slowed down?

As hair growth cycle involves shedding of hair and regrowth of new hair which gets thinner in case of balding and becomes so thin that it cant come out of scalp
If we can make the hair shedding process slow down it will help but i think theres no way to slow that down
