Elementary Sherlock gets casual sex but is only after Irene Adler (who betrays him brutally)
Neither Sherlock actually commit and get in a relationship beyond a slight interaction with Irene (gone wrong)
BBC Sherlock is even more loner

Also, Elementary Sherlock sees casual sex as some exercise and random activity, as in he doesn't give much f if he would stop tomorrow, nor is he conscious about the pleasure and fun aspect imo, like he is for the detective and intellectual pursuit. He lives with a female partner (also business partner Joan Watson), but there is nothing romantic or sexual between them obviously, they're platonically attached and usually roll with each other
