I am an athiest currently too. However, the modern world as we know it as is constructured off fundamental religious principles which varies accross societies.

Some societies more than others. For instance, Muslim countries follow through their religious testimonies to this day through Sharia Law. Therefore, in some countries more than others as religion in the West is nearly non-existent in comparison to how influential it was.


We should acknowledge the importance of religion in the construction of any modern world.

It’s generally a very subjective thing but if you look back at history, religion was mostly used to keep order and “peace” between people, generally people weren’t so educated so they took anything from a higher power (leaders) as the truth and only truth.
