Would you do a sliding genioplasty for quick ascension or wait it out with Bimax?

If you’re not downgrown, your choice?

*Disclaimer* This only applies for those with a decent gonial angle and ramus. If you’re downgrown, you’ll likely be worse off with Genio alone. Over for Tyler Robinson-cels

This is Cookie King’s side profile per FaceIQ. The thing with Bimax is that it takes a year in braces plus almost a year in recovery. If you have a good jaw shape like the JFA is around 85-95 degrees, a genioplasty can ascend the side profile AND bring out the angularity since the jaw base is good to begin with. Basically, most of your looks improvement is done with only genio compared to genio+Bimax.

I feel like with a mild-to-moderate overbite (up to 5 millimeters upper vs. lower teeth) you can get away without looking too off. It could also be orthodontics since aligners *may* reduce the gap.
