I'd much prefer an office dog.

Yet we're stuck with an office nigger

I have a question. Would you rather be a code monkey or a product kingpin?

Product Manager= Very extroverted, travel all the time, No coding, High paying. Direct ticket to C suite lounge in tech but high cortisol because of daily meetings, talking to engineers. Boring and repetitive work

Software developer= Highly Technical, very good pay almost similar to PM. Only work for a few hours everyday, no need to talk to anyone, Intellectually stimulating and repetitive work.

Lmao I like how you changed the topic from an extremely dumb question to one that's actually a good one.

Anyways I'm not too sure tbh I feel like the career progression as a comparison would be better for a PM (unless ofc the developer hopes to go into managerial positions) so I'd say that one

Why would the software developer need career advancement?

He (or she) is already making good money while only working a few hours per day. Ideal job.

As for the question on my OP, it's an awesome question. A lot of offices have either an office dog or an office nigger (mine has an office nigger 🐒)

Of course @BeanCelll would vote office dog 🐕
