Wtf i just measured my midface ratio

I just used a ruler to measure my midface ratio irl and it was 1.0 or 0.99. On camera its closer to 0.9 which im assuming is die to lens distortion but surely it cant be that severe? I still feel like my midface is long and that i measured it wrong somehow. What the most accurate way to measure midface ratio?

if it looks long you probably have weak cheekbones or a narrow jaw
