for me i get this like once a week where I have a day where I'm convinced something it out to get me, last time this happened I locked myself in my room with no electronics just staring at the door for like a hour until that feeling went away

that's prob one of the worst it got

yes, and i used to have it a lot more when i was younger, usually in the morning at school. it also would overlap with derealization

it was like a full disconnect from reality, it would happen when i looked at the screen for too long and zone out. it probably happened becasue i had epilepsy

Yeah the first time I had a true medical emergency I felt an immediate sense of impending doom because my heart rate was like 200bpm.

But like since then I've been dealing with the related health issue that have caused a very specific issue of my body being unable to relax fully for some vague reason (it's physical in nature and involves my spinal cord but the doctors can't figure out what exactly is happening.) Suddenly I would find myself having. this feeling of impending rise up suddenly even when I'm not doing anything in particular and am clearly in no danger. Because this feeling was foreign to me and prior to this I was not an anxious person at all I can see it objectively for what it is, which is my body tweaking out and sending false signals.

It's stopped now after multiple years but I'm the beginning it was rather frequent because my body was always in a state of low level shock from what it was going through and it think these bouts of feeling impending doom were moments when my body became overwhelmed by the constant unpleasant stimulation and the result was it welling up into my consciousness.

Anyway I say this to say, this isn't normal, or maybe it is for you and that's just your genetic disposition but it's not something that is common and it likely signals something is wrong internally, whether that be physically and this feeling is a result of your body's low level trauma building up to the point your brain cannot ignore the warnings of danger or it's a result of just being a highly anxious person. Neither are good and you should probably find a way to solve the root problem so it stops happening.
