again thats a bit roundabout, people do value connections because they are influenced by their emotions. If people were always gunning towards personal gain then every tough or rocky relationship in the world would be immediately cut off. Sure, from an evolutionary perspective thats one of the goals, but its only one factor. It isnt the root or source of all relationships and it isnt the end goal either, its a social factor.
