At first I felt like they should remove reps from the Offtopic section only.

The way I saw it was "aren't they supposed to indicate how helpful or reputable you are?"

In a perfect case scenario (unlikely) on Looksmax, someone with a higher rep ratio should ideally be more trustworthy.

However in reality most people I see giving advice on Looksmax are quite literally just trolls, no matter what the rep.

So maybe getting rid of rep entirely is a good idea.
