Weight is not immediately regained after stopping GLP’s.

What is causing the misconception that GLP’s make you rapidly regain weight after hopping off?
While the reason for people thinking this can differ by person, one common conclusion comes out of most normies or people who are uneducated on this:
They believe there’s no way to “cheat” your body, and therefore, it causes dependency.
Another reason could be because people don’t understand how glp’s work, which we will later get into.
I want to clear up that there ARE people who will almost instantly regain weight after GLP’s. I’m talking about the general person.
So how do GLP’s work?
Some GLP’s, like retatrutide, actually boost the metabolism! That’s great, right?
Not really.
The metabolism is boosted by 5-10% in clinical high dosage trials. This is a negligible amount.
Well, if that isn’t what’s causing weight loss, what is?
It’s the appetite supression.
Retatrutide and glp’s supression appetite, meaning you get fuller more easily and stay full for longer. However, as we all know, it’s very easy to overeat on some bullshit like chips. Therefore, we can come to the conclusion that people on glp’s, unless on an insanely high dosage that makes them throw up all day, still need to be disciplining themselves as to not gain weight, even while on GLP’s.
We can come to the conclusion that once hopping off, if you keep the same habits of not overeating on snacks, you will likely either continue to lose weight, likely at a slower pace, maintain weight, and, while unlikely, possibly gain weight at an extremely slow pace.
