There’s many more articles on toxoplasmosis. If you seek understanding, you will read up.

toxoplasmosis is proven to alter behavior in mice. In humans, there is only observational data. Nonetheless, it’s quite likely imo that this parasite is responsible for some of the variation we see among humans.

this is insane, really really insane.

In what way does it alter behavior?

If it's based on the germ theory, it's fantasy.

lowers inhibition. If you had cats that slept in ur bed and you breathed in a lot of their fur u probably have it.

I will talk about In mice first because I can be more confident in what I say. In mice, the parasite makes the circuit related to sexual attraction activate in response to fear. It also makes mice attracted to the smell of cat urine.

In humans (and wolves) it’s associated with risk taking. In humans it’s also associated with mental health disorders and car crashes.

Very interesting
Is there a certain part of the world it's more prevalent in?

It’s actually not spread directly through cats usually but from infected cat feces.

So common risk is undercooked meat or unwashed vegetables

Yes, France i believe it’s more common. In the United States it’s at least 11%

I don’t know if you can. They go latent in your tissues including your brain. I theorize that very long fasting could kill them but there’s no scientific literature on fasting to kill them. But it’s shown that they inhibit autophagy to protect from being eaten by phagocytes. So they must not like autophagy and so fasting could harm them.

Idc Come on kill me

I don't it would matter they care about mice because it helps it breed humans dosent

If they alter mice behavior, they could do so to humans. And that’s what the data is suggesting…

They aren’t a natural parasite of humans and have recently been introduced. So we don’t know how they effect is but we are starting to

it's very common in France
It makes you low-inhib and increase your test
But sometimes it can migrate if your immune system is trash and make you blind for example it it goes in your eye (happened to my grandmother - she has strong meds so she can still see but she got screwed)

This would explain my very high test levels
