6’11 Need Advice on Weight

I’m 18 now and I left this this site coming back every so often just for fun. But I’m back in need of real advice. I need to be able to put on any kind of weight and muscle. I have only ever hit 170 lbs. I consume 4500, calories a day and only lift twice a week but still my weight doesn’t change. I am super NT and the only thing i desire right now is to become massive. Currently I am 18 and 165 lbs. I have no idea why I can’t gain weight. My diet is pretty much meat and potatoes. Just a ton of kefir milk red meats, salmon oats/potatoes and veggies.

Just raise the calories if you're not gaining weight I guess. You've clearly got a fast metabolism even for a tall guy.

Do you plan on getting into professional volleyball or basketball or something?

why are you eating clean if you're struggling to put on weight? eat at least 1 meal of fast food a day
 
At 6'11" you dont need advice on anything. Your height will carry you

yeah I’m going to be playing college basketball. I need to get a lot stronger and heavier.

Eat more meals per day, even before breakfast try to get a shake in with lots of calories and macros, search on reddit many good threads on what to eat.

Also I have a question, did you eat lots of eggs and drink a lot of milk when you were younger, how many cups of milk and eggs did eat on avg? Curious to know.

Dirty bulk, you're 6ft11 your goal should be eating anything in sight. When I used to struggle with bulking I used to eat jars of peanut butter, it's hard but its packed with calories.

About as much as everyone else as a child I had about 8-10 eggs a week and a lot of milk all just from the grocery store. I ate a lot of food when I was a kid junk food whole foods all of it. Up until 6th grade I was a fat kid. Than I got a gaming addiction. I’ve quit games 1.5 years ago

You're 6ft11 because you have shit muscle building genetics. Workout harder, and focus on contraction quality. If you don't feel sore after working out you're probably not working out hard enough.

I do. NBA maxxing isn’t an option. I have marfans syndrome. I have a super minor case. Look up Isaiah Thomas he was tall and skinny because of marfans and nba Told him he can’t play because of its there’s no exceptions.

Also worth mention that marfans syndrome is a heart condition. My mother blew her heart out shoveling snow. I had to forge my physical papers to play high school basketball. My case is minor and I don’t use it as excuse for anything. But I can’t take major risks like steroids without proper guidance.

Fuck man. Is your heart okay? I once knew a basketball player with Marfan syndrome. He had heart surgery, and died soon after that. He was only 22

When I was a teenager doctors actually thought I had Marfan syndrome too, because I was tall and skinny. So I had eye exam, echocardiogram and genetic test to examine that. Fortunately all negative.

Its not minor if you are this tall, it is a classic symptom of Marfans being a giant. Also you realize you can rupture your aorta much easier if you do physical excercise like this?

Hearts good my body’s healthy the the major problem with marfans is your aorta it enlarges and has trouble deflating. But I’m good my case is pretty minor. 👍🏼

Yes I do I have been monitoring since I was 2. My aorta size is below the average for my height and age. And yes I do realize I can rupture my aorta MUCH easier. Also the height is from my parents. My dad is a 6’4 swed and my mother is 6’0

WTAF 170lbs max??? I'm 160 at 6'1 with relatively low bone density and 12% bodyfat if I was ur height I'd be at least 220. Chug whey shakes and put olive oil in instant ramen.

This is not the solution you want to hear, but you just need to eat more. Whatever diet you are eating is not enough to gain weight.

You need to focus on the highest calorie foods possible. For example, heavy whipping cream (a dairy product, NOT whipped cream) has ~800 calories per cup. Peanut butter, nuts, and cooking oils are all very high in calories. Some people who are new to lifting weights have tried GOMAD (adding a full gallon of milk a day to their diets), which could be upwards of 2,400 calories (depending on what kind of milk you are drinking).
