A way to tell if your mandible is too far back?

If you put your finger in your ear and bite does your finger move? I saw somewhere in this forum that if you finger moves, you mandible is far back.

You don't get it, so put a finger in your ear and bite down. You shouldn't feel anything moving. If you do ur mandible is far back.
