Now you can divide your cumulative dose (10500) by whatever daily dose you take so lets take 40mg daily for example, 10500/40 is 262 so it'll take you 262 days of accutane to reach 10500mg which is 9 months.

Add on: Accutane formulations don't actually go past 40mg so if you want to go past 40mg you just have to take a multitude of pills.

I was on 40mg and now I'm currently on 80mg, 40mg progress was a bit too slow imo and I have no sides

If I take period of break in between or am inconsistent with Isotretinoin, does it reduce the effectiveness of the total cumulative dose and I have to re-start?

They still add up, you will not have to essentially "restart" your course. accutane permanently shrinks sebaceous glands, that is it's purpose.

The reason there are even cumulative dose courses is to make sure that the glands shrink enough for you to never get acne again.

How much they shrink is directly correlated with how much of the drug you've taken (water)

Studies show even 10 to 20mg of dosing is very effective at treating acne and minimizing the side effects (dry skin/lips etc), but it takes significantly longer (around a year). I'm on 20mg myself. If possible, I recommend getting atleast 20mg, but more ideally 50mg and using it for about 6 months, maybe longer depending on your skin and acne. If its mild/moderate, it'll heal faster.

I did 20 mg for 2 months, 30mg for 2months, and 10mg for 2 more months. I weighed about the same like 74kg, now I'm more around 72kg.

You think the cumulative dose thing still adds up to my old usage when it's been over a year and you think my pores will close even faster this time? I think the cumulative dose resets to some degree and I still have to take a large amount

Take 60 mg for 4 months. So since you only have 40mg tabs, do 40mg 4 days a week and 80mg 3 days a week. Start your course on monday so this all makes sense.. monday-thursday 40mg, friday-sunday 80mg. Do this for 4 months.

For 80mg take 2 pills obviously unless you're an utter retard that couldn't understand that at first
