Impossible since you have schizophrenia they won’t give you stimulants, but they could possibly give you a ssri/snri, tricyclic, atypical antidepressant, etc.

Yeah bro it sucks I lost a few prime years of my life when my addiction problems were worse and I had psychotic symptoms like delusions, occasional hallucinations, mania, hypomania, depression, mixed episodes. But so far they’ve only diagnosed me with adhd, asd, (major depression in the past), health anxiety, and ocd (with multiple subtypes, I’m very fucking high up on the ocd spectrum lol). I’m most likely going to be diagnosed with cptsd as well. since my sister has bpd I think that could be possible too. My psych doesn’t think I have bipolar but it’s still not ruled out and I haven’t told him even half of the shit that’s happened from when I was a kid to now in detail.

My psychotic symptoms went away without meds after like 3 and a half years. You have to remember as well that meds don’t actually cure these conditions, but obviously they can help you get better if you had a good doctor and weren’t put on shit that only made you worse

Yeah, I don’t know too much about schizophrenia but I know with bipolar and bpd it can be a lot more on and off and episodes can last for ages. I assume with schizophrenia it’s more of a constant battle trying to dumb down the hallucinations, which I’ve never really had constantly. You just have to do all the right lifestyle shit. Diet, exercise, mindfulness/prayer, supplementation, therapy, staying constantly busy, socialising etc. I’m lucky that my therapist is actually good though since I’ve been seeing him since I was 12. Finding a good one can be tough. I know all of that’s easier said than done but with all of those things as well as medications if it gets too bad can make a lot of your psychotic symptoms go away. There are rare exceptions to this though like with my cousin who’s on a couple mood stabilisers, clozapine, Seroquel, lexapro and Ativan all at pretty moderate-high doses. He does TMS or ECT too I forget which one, and has no history of substance abuse at all. I met quite a few people in hospital that have taken and tried fucking everything and are still fucked up.

I also recommend doing some in depth research on schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders. That could help you out as well.

Idk what you have and what your symptoms are but yeah if that’s the route you want to go down. They take fucking ages to work though. And see a psychiatrist + therapist. Ive been diagnosed with social anxiety in the past but don’t really have it anymore. I was put on Fluvoxamine in 2019 for that as well as ocd and mdd. Only went back on recently. But tbh It mostly went away after I stopped jacking off and playing games as much, as well as improving my looks and just forcing myself to get out.
