Am I cooked for wanting to change careers to IT

Lithuania. Yeah they finish math, cs or physics degree. Work for a couple years for 30k and then switch company once or twice with pretty much tech basics and behavioral tech interview and get 55k eur.

Same story for most of my htn+ and tech foids that I know.
Bro I'm bengali and going to VGTU next year for CS.

What do you think is a realistic salary for me out of uni?

You will go for CS degree right?

Currently average SWE Lithuania (Vilnius) salaries (per month after taxes):
Junior(1-2 yoe): 1370 EUR
Mid: 2420 EUR
Senior: 3580 EUR

I would say if you do really well in university and do a lot of extra things outside of university then it would be possible to get 1700 EUR - 2000 EUR after uni. But average is probably only a little bit above 1000 EUR after uni.

Damn I thought for a sec I would be earning $75k/year a while after undergrad. But this doesn't seem too bad.

70k EUR a year is average senior salary. Some people might get it with 3 years of experience, but most would need 5-9 years of experience to get that.

But anyone reasonable can get 50k EUR after 2-3 years of experience. And then it's hard climb afterwards.
