Nah, you are confusing that with extraction + retraction (braces), that's what dentists do to wreck the fuck out of developing kids. In your situation, some teeth can slightly alter the appearance, but it's incredibly subtle and not permanent, I can't speak 5+ years out though. Don't stress it, just get the implant when you can.

You are fine, they have to install braces to force the retraction, the extraction alone isn't enough (I can't speak for 5+ years again), plus hypothetically, if your bone just started degrading for w/e reason they can bone graft and then install an implant.

Because 99% of dentists will tell you the same, and not every dentist can perform extractions, so it's not like they have a profit incentive. But if you can explain, what exactly do you think is happening to the bone that would suggest it would make you retract? Because the entire point of removing the wisdom tooth is because it doesn't have space to grow properly. Ironically, you can lose bone fucking around with a wisdom tooth that needs to be removed.

But just ask your dentist, explain your concerns, call him if you don't want to say it in person. lol

irs not a wisdom tooth lmao js a decayed tooth

Then you have nothing to worry about at all, just get a bone graft/implant. Expensive, sure, but that's the solution to the issues. Usually when people are scared of extractions, it's about wisdom teeth, but for other teeth, the bone graft exits, and the bone graft can be done years after an extraction, it's just best to do it right after.
