a lot of dumbasses argue over whether eye creams is cope or actually works. for context there are different kinds of eye creams. there are ones that brighten the skin below the eye and there are ones that plump up the skin under your eye (maybe there are more, i dont know). im not gonna go into the anatomy and shi because i don't know it but there's really only two reasons why your under eyes probably look like shit:
reason 1: your under eyes are dark and thin
in this case your eyes aren't actually cooked and irreversibly stuck as dull and lifeless. its just the skin is darker under it or your under eyes skin is so thin that you can see the tint of the blood vessels beneath which is also common. so using a brightening under eye creams (which make the skin under your eye brighter) can actually benefit you. but it can also appear dull because of thin skin that sags under the eye. using a retinoid like retinal (or tret if your already on it) under can work but i would consider using something like hyaluronic acid if the skin under your eyes are, but only pair it with retinal if your under eyes have thin skin too.
as you can see here on this ltb, even if her orbitals are recessed, her eyes look shit mainly because of its dark coloring. i think you can see what im trying to say here.
reason 2: your infras is recessed.
this is what most guys who say eye creams are cope are talking about.
if your infras is truly recessed, your eyes naturally sit further back into the skull so brightening eye creams won't work. even if the skin under your eyes is thick and bright, it won't matter if your recessed (it can also be due to a lack of fat under the eyes which is genetic) in this case the most you could do is use some sort of serum or toner under your eyes to puff it up a little such as something like hyaluronic acid or something is the most you can do.
no matter which one of these reasons it may be, if your not sleeping at least 8 hours and waking up and sleeping at the same time consistently, dont fucking whine about having eye bags.
for lazycells:
- for recessed orbitals/infras = the bone itself causes the tired look and your skin sits on the bone. use something like a retinoid, a ceramide, hyaluronic acid or glycerin. mostly cope though
- thin tissue / fat under the eyes = do the same thing you would do if you had recessed orbitals / infras
- bad coloring = you have permission to use the cope serum AKA brightening / vitamin c serum.
(im a dumbass just like the rest of you niggas - all this shit is from TikTok knowledge accumulation and chatgpt - take anything i say with a pinch of salt)
