this guy used rubber bands between his front 2 teeth and the teeth next to them so a gap didn’t appear on those teeth

he managed to close them within a few days and he kept wearing it for a month, then after he removed them the gap stayed in place and haven’t gotten returned to its original state

i wanna do this because i have a gap between my front 2 teeth as well just like his but i wanna get retainers to keep the gap in place for the rest of my life or however long i wanna keep the gap (if i stop caring abt maintaining them)

do these amazon retainers work the same way as fitted retainers or not?

its good, i have mark on palate too, uve split suture perhaps so widen it even more, get insane expansion and then close with braces

how old? thumbpull too?

Just go to the dentist. Avoid sketchy stuff if it can be fixed with money.

maybe, but are you going to believe someone in a forum? are u going to do days of research by yourself to find out? I think it iosnt smart so its better to go to an ortho

small front gap and good teeth looks high genetics

Closing the front teeth gap is feasible with just a few cN of force, which is achievable with elastics without much of a problem (https://orthoinsummary.com/blog/elastics-in-orthodontics/). Keep in mind your tongue can exert about 5 N of force at most, yet this is more than enough to cause permanent tipping. People who keep their tongue in contact with their front teeth tend to experience this issue which then comes associated with an open bite.

So to answer the question, yes, these elastic bands will do their job and you can close the diastema. However, since you are not even 18, it could be a great choice to pursue palatal expansion knowing that your palatal suture is not fused yet. You should consider it if you have somewhat of a narrowish palate, although it is unlikely considering the fact that you have this front teeth gap.

I would advise you against using any kind of retainers. First of, the ones you show will just keep the edges of your arch in place. Overall they are pretty much useless. Why would someone want to be decades sleeping with a retainer that is pushing teeth against their natural position? I have personally worn retainers for years during adolescence and after some months you just realize that your jaws want to naturally expand yet the retainers will push your teeth inwards. Do not wear retainers, never, especially when your bones are still malleable. You will just go against mother nature and halt your development.

There is a reason why most people pay 3k approximately in Europe to get their teeth straighten with Invisalign for instance. You can get rotation, intrusion, protusion and lateral expansion with it, and have much more control over it than these rudimentary procedures. For real, it is better to stop the cope and fix your teeth as soon as possible in the best way available. Just to illustrate my point, look at this smile:

Pretty awful, right? He has a broad arch, but other than that the diastema is very visible, the position of the teeth along the arch is not straight, and to go along with it the guy has a very crooked and asymmetrical nose.

Now, this man is no normie. He is one of the most important French businessmen, stands at 6 foot 5 inches tall, studied in top French universities and has had his wife retired for ages. While he may be very successful, he is still afraid of showing his smile. I have seen dozens of corporate images of him and in all of them he smiles with his lips sealed and his head turned to the side to fraud his crooked nose.

What does this tell you? Even the most successful people are afraid of showing their true self and look for coping mechanisms. Do not be this guy, fix your flaws.
