I just started an aggressive cut but want to maintain/gain muscle. I will be mostly working out postural muscles (which I have never trained before). I feel like because of newbie gains in those muscle groups I'll still be able to gain muscle.

You definitely can, but instead of doing a cut just hop on the KETO diet, no cut needed your body will burn the fat and create muscle off the protein. 70% protein 30% fats Avoid carbs as much as possible, 200-300 caloric deficit

I have done 1000 Kcal's off my Caloric Intake before, Musculature loss is really minimal in all honesty, People report Musculature Atrophy due to Glycogen loss in Glycogen-Rich areas (such as Biceps/Chest), it's really a game of misunderstanding, once you start eating Enough Calories again you will see everything come back.

Enough Protein + Carb's will do great during any cut.
Good luck.

Around 6 months, its OP. But being honest you might have some cheatmeals and bad sleep. So around 10 months for a full transformation

Gaining muscle on an aggressive cut is a stretch; maybe in really nuanced situations it is possible, but generally the best most can hope for is retaining current muscle.

If you don't do it right, you will 100% lose muscle in a large deficit,

And WTF is the point of working out postural muscles?
