I guess this kinda depends on where you get the implants, but a friend of mine got a genio + jaw angles and nobody gave him any shit because he just told everyone that he was insecure about a skeletal malocclusion and simply wanted to look normal. Of course you don't have to open up to strangers about this since they most likely wont notice anyway. In cognition, if you had never ever known of jaw implants or that things can be implanted into your face at all, you'd probably either think nothing of a strange texture on somebody's face or assume it was a cancer before Titanium implants, things that not everyone knows exists. You're coming at this from the angle of knowing of jaw implants and plastic surgery whereas your girlfriend doesn't have an account on looksmax.
