Chin tucks are usually presented as a exercised to improve the jawline and tighten the lingual bone. that is, to make the facial profile more beautiful due to the absence of a lowered hyoid bone. This exercise can be found on almost every corner, but it’s completely nonsense from a scientific standpoint; there’s not a single study showing positive results from chin tucks on healthy people.
All existing studies have been tested on people suffering from dysphagia. We don’t have any outside research results on the use of chin tucks (for example, reviews from forums, etc.). Basically, all the crazy results are shown by bloggers who want to sell you a course.
From all this, we can conclude that chin tucks really do affect the neck muscles, but the question is how effective they are. If you have time, you can certainly do chin tucks, but don’t expect immediate and quick results.
