confused AF ?

Hey everyone,

I’m 25, Class II Division 2, and my concern is purely aesthetic—my bite works fine and I have no functional issues.

Here’s where I’m stuck:

• Two orthodontists recommended removing two lower premolars
• One ortho said I could prep for BSSO in 6–8 months with no extractions
• Most surgeons suggest just genioplasty since my bite is already functional
• The ortho who suggested extractions refused to prep me for BSSO, saying I don’t need jaw surgery

I also have a strict no-extractions policy.

Main questions:

1. Is BSSO without extractions realistic for aesthetic improvement?
2. Is BSSO + genio worth it, or should I just go for genioplasty alone?
3. If I start braces for decomp, am I basically committing to surgery?

I’ll be uploading my lateral ceph and OPG for context.

Would really appreciate any advice or experiences—especially from people who’ve been in a similar situation.
