Yeah I think you would just use the palau id for that lmao. That’s supposedly enough verification. It costs around $250 and you can pay for expedited shipping. At least from the US, if I want to keep using Mexc I’ll still need to vpn even with the palau id. I’m also looking at BloFin though, I think they have perpetuals on some stuff and non-KYC even from the US.

Or when the cost of borrowing drops. My theory is that crypto dropped in Dec 2021 ahead of Russia-Ukraine, rate hiking and increased inflationary pressures. Should we see interest rates drop, there'll be no shortage of idiots "feeling" like they're better off, and more speculative bets will be made, making the space active.

When US yields drop you essentially want to "sell the Dollar" anyway. Not only is that a tailwind for equities, but also crypto which is far more speculative in terms of reward-to-drawdown. Most people are desperate and irrational, yet, hopeful; so lower interest rates would really see the biggest push for crypto.

All the real HODLers are genius libertarians who are betting on fiat debasement at some point in the future, and I'll admit, my cynical self once thought they were idiots. But after years into looking into the security, decentralisation and private ownership (with non-privacy/transparancy of transactions on the blockchain) that are achieved with Bitcoin, I've come 'round. I can only see long term growth. The finite supply makes it a commodity-currency which will be around once fiat systems are overthrown.

Loans are evil and I think people will begin to realise in the future that their labour doesn't amount to equitable asset rewards, nor monetary reward, because the fiat system is corrupt by virtue of there being a central source, unlimited supply, unlimited debt and loans.

I think people's minds will need to be reframed completely. We always ask who "Satoshi Nakamoto" is, moreso than asking who owns the US Federal Reserve; and that's on top of it being in human nature to have a background in hierarchical thinking. We're literally being scammed but it can't and won't go on forever.

Yeah. Cost of borrowing is almost always somewhat tied to the amount of liquidity in the economy.

I actually still disagree with the lolberts tbh. I think the post corona inflationary period proved to central banks that they can't keep rates low forever. The only situation where I see rates remaining low is if central banks have to constantly stimulate demand to keep inflation at 2-3% (which is their ideal inflation rate) because of a low birth rate or technology lowering the cost of things faster than prices can rise (which honestly I think there is like a 60% chance of happening).

As for loans being evil, I mean they've been around since forever. Sure they are evil to an extent, but it's part of how we've operated economies forever. They inherently benefit people with wealth already and exploit people without it. If people can control the market for loans, there will always be some degree of corruption (it's human nature and it won't change).

Also sidenote. I'm like 70% sure that bitcoin was created by some intel agency as a way to covertly move money, similar to how vpns were initially created by intel agencies.

I'm about 70% sure that Bitcoin wasn't created by an intelligence agency. SHA256, which is responsible for Bitcoin's security was created by the NSA though, so there is always that possibility.

Interest rates aside, I'm arguing that the fiat system has no legitimacy. It hasn't been around forever and the likelihood is, it won't be around forever. People are growing dumber and more disillusioned though. It's more likely that role models (i.e., Tate and The Kardashians) are being controlled by Special Ops, rather than Bitcoin.

It's funny how most peoples' role models are only vectors for increasing vain and insecure behaviour. As cringe as it sounds, all we need are people who can set good examples and engage. Inspiration and trust are so powerful, and it's by design that no one ever bumps into people who directly galvanize those in others. That's the result of the unfair, hierarchical, competitive and desperate world we live in, and I believe economics play such a huge part.

Like you said, to those who have everything, more shall be given. To those who have nothing, everything shall be taken. It's true, but it's not human nature. Human nature is to survive and flourish, and the systems at play (purposefully) do not allow for that.
