The rundown: Ozempic (semaglutide) is the miracle weight loss drug that all hopeless lardballs were waiting for. It makes you feel full, with collateral effects no worse than just losing weight normally.
I went ahead and charged it to my credit card and got myself a pen without needing a prescription. It only cost $200 in my third world country but if you live in a decent country you can expect to pay over a thousand dollars for a 6 week supply. They packed it up for me in a bag along with a block of ice to keep it cool.
I'm starting out with 0.25mg each week for the first month and then increasing to a maintenance dose of 0.50mg.
The experience so far: The needle is so thin, you literally can't feel a thing. I didn't find myself wanting to eat outside my regular meals and even skipped dessert quite easily. Here's to hoping it's not just a one-time thing.
