"Men can walk around without being scared" - A load of bullshit. What women don't seem to get is men are almost just as scared of that guy "catcalling" them as they are. Simply put, those guys are fucking crazy and almost anyone can see that they are potentially dangerous. That same guy who says "damn your ass fat" to a woman will tell a guy, "watch where your looking, punk ass bitch". The difference is guys are expected to stand up to these nutjobs. Some women will even break up with men if they do not stand up for her when she is harassed by a nutjob despite standing up to these types of guys being extremely dangerous. Statistics that men are more commonly victims of violent crime back this up.
"Men are in all the positions of power and push women around"- Yes, because women do not take men who have less status or power than them seriously. If women did not expect men to be higher status then there would be far less pressure for men to achieve these positions and they would welcome women in them much easier. The only reason men so aggressively seek status is because women expect status. It is a self fulfilling prophecy. Not only this, but the percentage of men who have status and power is very small. In terms of the mean, men have less status and privilege than women. High suicide and loneliness statistics prove this point.
"Women are judged more harshly for their appearance"- Absolute bullshit. Men are expected to be tall, good looking, ripped and have huge dicks. Most of these are outside of their control. Women on the other hand are expected to be thin and presentable. This is mostly achievable especially with makeup. The difference is men are ridiculed if they even mention struggles they face with appearance. Therefore, men tend to keep their insecurities to themselves.
"Muh wagegap" - This has just been completely debunked with statistics. Nothing more to be said.
"Women are more likely to be victimized by men"- This is the only thing that has truth to it. Women are more likely to be sexually victimized by men. This isn't because of systemic misogyny, it is simply because men are more sexually aggressive than women. If men hang around gay men they are just as likely to get sexually victimized as women and possibly even more so. Also, men are more likely to experience violence from both other men and women. The worst part is when men are attacked by women there is nothing they can do. Not only that, but it is also very common for women to insight violence against men they do not like with social subversion. Pretending like women are "victims" of society moreso than men isn't exactly accurate.
I see feminism as a false dichotomy and a hindrance to true progress. It's not that women were "opressed", its that technological advancements have allowed for a higher quality of life that does not force people to engage in unpleasant gender roles out of necessity for survival. Women should not have to pop out 10 kids and men should not have to break their backs being a sole provider.
