i talked with a dentist and ortho and they say all it does is move ur teeth not ur maxilla and mandible idk about stopping growth

Draw your own conclusion based on what i'l provide you with down bellow, but to me it appears that class 2 elastics, fix your recessed mandible, i talked to my orthodontist and to my cousin (shes a dentist) and read multiple articles on it, aswell as searching up before and afters.

I also wear them and have seen improvements in my lower third overtime, my jaw recession was terrible, but now its improved alot

My point still stands .

They prioritize alignment over the teeth rather than facial aesthetics, that's why retractive orthodontics and teeth extractions exist
